This unit aims to introduce Students to the core concepts of Operations Management, including Lean, Just In Time, Total Quality Management, Six Sigma, and Supply Chain Management, and to how these principles can be applied in diverse organisational contexts. Additionally, the unit will enable leaders to develop and influence an organisation's strategic direction by analysing the factors that drive the development of organisational strategy and evaluating approaches for successfully developing strategy. This will involve developing an organisational strategy to achieve a specific business goal and proposing an approach for implementing and monitoring the strategy to ensure its sustained success.
