MATERNITY COVER. Essential: Accredited qualification in Project Management and/or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) or other similar project management methodology. A proven track record of successfully managing projects within resource/budget constraints. Knowledge of Construction Design and Maintenance Regulations (CDM) and Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations and Codes of Practice. Experience in preparation, execution and management of contract documents. Experience in the production and implementation and management of service contracts. A knowledge of NEC and ICC/JCT forms of contract. Experience in using AutoCAD applications. Ability to collect, analyse data and apply appropriate actions. Experience in budgetary control. Self-motivated, adaptable and proactive with the ability to work with minimal supervision, Ability to negotiate and progress work with various stakeholders, including senior officers. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Commitment to team working, flexibility and a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities within E&R. Effective verbal and written communication skills, excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise own workload, conflicting priorities and track progress on a wide range of tasks to overcome challenges. IT literate, working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including word, excel, use of Databases and a technical knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Project applications. Full valid driving licence. Desirable: Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. APM). Experience of event management. Understanding of local government environment. An understanding of the operations and functions of a local authority. Knowledge of the Council's Standing Orders, Financial Regulations and the Isle of Man Government Procedures for Capital Projects (including requirements for Petitioning purposes).
