Biography

Eranda Ginige is an entrepreneurial and dynamic professional with extensive experience in project management, business development, and social entrepreneurship. Born and raised in Sri Lanka, Eranda has built a remarkable career over 15 years, working with diverse teams and customers both locally and internationally. He holds a Master of Project Management from the University of Southern Queensland, specializing in Business Administration, and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics, Microbiology, and Biochemistry from Bangalore University, where he graduated with First Class honors.

Eranda's professional journey includes pivotal roles at prestigious organizations. As the Founder and Chief Impact Officer of Social Enterprise Lanka, he has been instrumental in promoting social entrepreneurship across the country. He created and hosted the popular TV show "ATH PAVURA," reaching millions of viewers weekly and wrote the first Sinhala book on social entrepreneurship, which sold out quickly. His training programs have benefited over 1,000 social entrepreneurs and 2,500 corporate employees in sustainability and CSR.

Prior to founding Social Enterprise Lanka, Eranda had a distinguished career at the British Council, where he held various leadership positions. As the Head of Partnerships and Innovation, he developed and implemented a three-year business strategy, negotiated significant government contracts, and introduced social innovation and entrepreneurship to Sri Lanka. His innovative contributions earned him the Global Staff Award for Best Cultural Relations Achievement and an invitation to present to HRH Prince of Wales.

Eranda has also served as a visiting lecturer at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka and managed operations at OpenArc College of International Studies. His earlier roles include teaching biology and chemistry at the Sri Lankan School in Muscat and Colombo International School.

Eranda is fluent in English and Sinhala and possesses excellent report writing and presentation skills. His personal interests include lecturing, public speaking, and engaging in community development initiatives. Married with two children, Eranda resides in Kaduwela, Sri Lanka.
