Biography

Martin Nicholls is a seasoned business coach and sales leader with a rich background in recruitment and human resources spanning over three decades. He holds a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Bath and a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from institutions in London and New York. His professional journey is marked by significant achievements in establishing and growing recruitment operations across Europe, Australia, and Asia.

Currently, Martin serves as the Managing Director of Martin Nicholls Consulting, a firm dedicated to developing and executing talent strategies throughout Australia and Asia Pacific. His recent projects include designing RPO/MSP solutions in Australia and managing executive placements across several countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan, and Vietnam. Martin also serves as a Non-executive Director for a Bangkok-based HR services organization and works as a qualified coach (ICF) with leaders throughout the APAC region.

Before founding his consultancy, Martin held key roles at Randstad Sourceright, where he turned around a struggling business in ANZ and strengthened the APAC sales team. His tenure at Kelly Outsourcing & Consulting Group saw him grow the RPO business by over 100 percent in two years, with significant wins across Asia Pacific. As Vice President of Global Solutions & Services at Kelly Services, he managed global accounts and drove new business sales, achieving record levels of performance.

Martin's leadership skills were honed during his time as CEO and Managing Director of Talent2, where he successfully restructured and grew operations in Hong Kong, Southern China, Macau, and Taiwan. His earlier roles include leading executive recruitment and HR consulting operations at Beilby Corporation and Morgan & Banks/Hudson in Australia, where he achieved significant growth and profitability.

In addition to his corporate roles, Martin is a guest lecturer in business at various universities in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, and Australia. He is known for his technical competence in staffing, executive search, and HR outsourcing, as well as his ability to lead and develop world-class sales and operations teams in competitive markets.
