Ornella Silva, born on May 23, 1987, in Rome, Italy, is a distinguished legal professional based in Maharagama, Sri Lanka. She holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in International Business and Corporate Law from the University of West London, where she completed her dissertation on the implications of the SEC/ICASL Corporate Governance Code on the duties of directors under the Companies Act. Ornella also holds an LL.B. from the University of London and a Diploma in Commercial Arbitration from the ICLP Arbitration Centre in Colombo.

Ornella's career spans several key roles in the legal field. She has worked as a Legal Assistant to the Group Legal Counsel at Al Nasser Holdings LLC in Abu Dhabi, a diversified holding company with interests in petroleum exploration, real estate, retail, and more. In this role, she handled property litigation, reviewed international franchise and leasing agreements, and represented companies in arbitration proceedings.

Prior to this, Ornella served as a legal officer, providing legal advice and opinions, drafting commercial contracts and agreements, handling arbitration matters, and managing legal cases. Her responsibilities also included preparing meetings for the Board of Directors, managing HR documentation, and maintaining company records and shareholder information.

Ornella has also contributed to academia as a visiting lecturer for Business Law at the American National College, affiliated with the University of Monash, Australia.
