The Strategic Human Resource Management module aims to equip learners with the knowledge and skills to evaluate and analyze HRM policies and practices in contemporary organisations. It covers various aspects of HRM such as human resource planning, recruitment, training and development, performance management, remuneration and benefits, and HRM effectiveness. Additionally, it explores important aspects such as diversity, ethics, sustainable HRM, and legal considerations. By the end of the module, learners will understand the importance of HRM, critically evaluate HRM policies, develop inclusive workplaces, and understand global trends in employment and HRM.
1. Understand the importance of HRM in the contemporary workplace
2. Be able to critically evaluate the efficacy of HRM policies and their impact on overall firm performance
3. Be able to develop inclusive workplaces through a critical understanding of the concepts of diversity & equality
4. Be able to demonstrate an in-depth understanding of global trends in employment & HRM
Scholarships

To pass the unit a 40% overall grade must be achieved.
