The course will explore how team performance can be evaluated and optimized to realise strategic objectives.

The aim of this unit is to help learners understand the ability to choose and apply suitable investigative techniques to a variety of situations that are simple and non-simple in the accounting environment. The unit provides an emphasis on the aims, objectives and methods of auditors and their contribution to the achievement of a true and fair view on the published accounts.

Knowing how to build a cyber defense strategy, what legal tools require consideration, how policies can be written and embedded, are all vital ingredients to successful in-house cyber security practices.

In this unit the learner will bring together knowledge acquired from previous units and build on this in relation to developing plausible strategic plans, executive buy-in and legal compliance. Key questions and challenges are posed: What is ‘strategy’ and what can a ‘cybersecurity’ strategy’ look like? How do we achieve senior-level buy-in? How do we monitor and safeguard compliance, particularly if our operations are dispersed across a multinational environment? What are the key legal requirements and industry standards that can assist and enhance our cyber security strategies and practices?

This module aims to cultivate and enhance learners' understanding of the pivotal theories and principles that underscore effective leadership within educational environments. Facilitated through a varied anthology of case studies from diverse settings, learners will analyse and evaluate leadership concepts critically and apply them to their own professional practice.

This course aims to provide learners with the knowledge and skills needed to establish a new techno business. It includes understanding the characteristics of entrepreneurs, planning, marketing and finance.

This course will equip learners with in-depth knowledge and understanding of the principles governing the law of Equity and Trusts. The unit aims to enable learners to understand and apply equitable rules to fact-based scenarios, to identify and resolve issues that potential clients may face different types of trusts and equitable remedies. Learners will explore how equity interrelates with other legal topics and how equitable principles apply in domestic and commercial contexts.

This module familiarises learners with the significance of institutional culture by exploring analytical models that provide a research foundation for understanding how cultures function within an educational context. It examines the aspects of leadership behaviour that shape a school’s culture, and investigates the dynamics through which change is either promoted or hindered.

The aim of this unit is to ensure that the learner can exercise techniques and decide on decisions that add value in terms of corporate finance based on sound theoretical concepts. In addition, the unit helps the learner to present and interpret financial information in a recognised format and to work independently to solve the problems arising within the specified time given. It also endures that the learning can be applied to the practical context.

The Strategic Finance module gives managers a basic understanding of finance and its practical applications in organisational decision-making. Topics covered in the module include the accounting equation, preparing financial statements, the accounting cycle, appraisal and familiarity with the content of published annual accounts, financial ratio analysis, and aspects of costing and management accounts. By the end of the module, learners will be able to develop and interpret financial statements and accounting reports, evaluate how managers use accounting strategies for communication with stakeholders, and demonstrate a critical understanding of the accounting framework.

The professional and lawful response to managing an incident can be the difference between company survival or otherwise. Poor responses to major incidents, including mega data breaches, have significantly damaged organisational reputations and financial performance. Significantly mismanaging a cyber incident can result in catastrophic personal and organisational consequences. Such business ‘impacts’ are covered in-depth within our Threat and Risk units at Levels 2, 3 and 4. and will be explored during this Level 5 unit as part of the contextual case-study learning, and isomorphic reflections, that are central to this unit. 

In this course learners will explore the types of site, personnel and equipment required in relation to planning for Incident. Management and forming an organisational CERT team (Computer Emergency Response Team). They will then explore the core sub-disciplines and side-disciplines of Cyber Incident Management: Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management. Learners will discuss the importance of the business organisational requirement for skilled and planned communications to operate in combination with advanced and developed management responses and strategy.

This course will equip learners with knowledge of the European Union legal system and the main substantive aspects of the European Union laws. The unit aims to enable learners to understand the history that led to the creation of the union, the political institutions of the EU, the role and the jurisdiction of the Court of Justice. Learners will be introduced to the fundamental rights given to individuals guaranteed by the Union and to the relationship between European and national laws.

The aim of this course is to develop learners’ understanding of ways in which educational leadership and management can provide support during the process of change, developing leadership in the learners’ own educational context.

In this module, learners are presented with the opportunity to to plan a substantive piece of individual research concerning leadership within their specific context, connecting theory with practice. They are supported with additional research skill requisites, including online sessions exploring research methods and ethics in educational research.

In this unit the learner will examine Incident Response, Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTS), and events requiring investigative techniques. Learners will identify and examine aligned business tasks and task forces including Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity Management and Crisis Management.

The unit then focuses on exploring cyber-related incident investigations, including evidential analysis gathering, logging and reporting. Learners will have the opportunity to look at case studies and assess how the approaches used could be applied into their own workplace.
