Press Release: LIBT Partners with University of Portsmouth
September 25, 2023

25 June 2020: London Institute of Business and Technology (LIBT) signed an Agreement with University of Portsmouth (UoP), UK, becoming its international partner in Asia to propagate UoP’s “Learning At Work Degree Courses” among working executives. Learning At Work courses do not have set curricula (other than the MSc Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management courses, which have two/three core modules to start with).  Each student develops their own personalized programme of study with the support of a specialist academic tutor and a Learning Manager.  This programme of study will be made up of learning management modules, work-based projects and distance learning taught modules.

The student can choose from a range of distance learning modules delivered by UoP’s Learning At Work Department which include:

  • Business and management modules
  • Project management modules
  • Health and safety modules
  • Sustainability modules
  • Professional development modules

Learning At Work courses are designed to enable the student a great deal of flexibility in their studies to accommodate the pressures of work.  Students are able to amend their learning contracts to request new submission deadlines or to make amendments in relation to a change in their work situation or project (extensions/flexibility are not possible on all modules).

The upcoming enrolment is September 2020, with a deadline for applications on 14th August 2020, and the next enrolment after that is January 2021 with a deadline of 11th December 2020.
