The Level 4 Qualification provides an introduction to the main facets and operations of organisations. It introduces the challenges faced by modern day businesses. The Qualification focuses upon developing understanding, skills and abilities to equip the Learner with the awareness and aptitudes to be an effective organisational manager and leader.

The Level 5 Qualification deals with complex and challenging organisational issues and opportunities. The units are closely linked to current day real world and work challenges and the Qualification will test and develop student’s workplace experience and abilities. The Qualification will require learners to make judgments and provide creative and practical solutions and ways of responding to organisational challenges and problems. An action based approach will be sought and learners who have strong motivation to progress in their chosen career and business pathway will gain significantly from the qualification.

The programme itself is made up of 12 interactive modules and 12 written assignments, with approximately 40 guided learning hours per module. All modules have an additional 30-50 learning hours of optional materials that comprise of recommended exercises, recommended readings, Internet resources, and self-testing exercises. You will also have access to 24/7 support, tutoring, and a variety of other support mechanisms.

LIBT Level 7 Diploma in Strategic Leadership and Management is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), which means you can apply for Chartered Manager through Fast-track status on completion of your studies. The students will also receive a CMI Level 7 Certificate in Strategic Management and Leadership Practise.

BAM42001 - Communications in Organisations (20 credits)

Communication is the key to effective operations and working effectively with others. Throughout this module, learners will grasp a range of communication techniques used for a variety of commercial purposes.

BAM42002 - Leadership and the Organisation (20 credits)

To look at the important function of management which helps to maximize efficiency and to achieve organizational goals.

BAM42003 - Financial Awareness (20 credits)

In this module, learners will compare and contrast some examples of good and bad financial decision making and the impact on the business.

BAM42004 - Managing Change (20 credits)

To provide the learner with an understanding of the key concepts of managing change and knowledge in a business setting.

BAM42005 - Business Operations (20 credits)

This module looks at the administration of business practices to create the highest level of efficiency possible within an organization.

BAM42006 - Developing Teams (20 credits)

This module aims to develop project management skills for a work-based team project by implementing the different stages of project development, implementation and review.

BAM52001 - Customer Management (20 credits)

This module looks on the systems, processes and applications needed to manage the customer relationship.

BAM52002 - Business Development (20 credits)

This module focuses on the creation of long-term value for an organization from customers, markets, and relationships.

BAM52003 - Effective Decision Making (20 credits)

Learners will complete exercises in effective decision making throughout this module to equip with the right skills to make good decisions as the leaders.

BAM52004 - Responding to the Changing Business Environment (20 credits)

The aim of this module is to enable learners to understand the range of performance measures needed to analyse and determine business environment, and the change processes that can then be used to improve organisational performance.

BAM52005 - Risk Management and Organisations (20 credits)

This module focuses on the process of identifying, assessing and controlling threats to an organization's capital and earnings and to prepare for the unexpected by minimizing risks and extra costs before they happen.

BAM52006 - Business Models and Growing Organisations (20 credits)

This module looks at the business models to create the growth of the organisatons and rationalizing of how organisations create, deliver, and capture values, in economic, social, cultural or other contexts.

Entry Requirements

Entry to Level 5 Extended Diploma in Business Management

  • Learners who have demonstrated some ability and possess qualifications at Level 3 or high school equivalent award.
  • Should be at least 18 years old.
How will I be assessed?

Assessment is through coursework.

Course Duration

Standard duration of the Level 5 Extended Diploma programme is 12 months. The student is required to submit 12 assignments to complete both Level 4 and 5.

Recognition of Prior Learning is the recognition of non-certified learning towards a full unit or a qualification. You are able to gain credits using your previous regulated or unregulated qualifications or work experience. You can submit your CV for an evaluation of the RPL eligibility here.

The academic courses at the London Institute of Business & Technology are delivered using a "Blended Learning" format, which allows students to pursue their desired qualifications at their own pace. Qualification Structure and Requirements

Credits and Total Qualification Time (TQT)
Each level is made up of 120 credits which equates to 1200 hours of TQT and includes 480 hours of GLH.

Total Qualification Time (TQT): is an estimate of the total amount of time that could reasonably be expected to be required for a learner to achieve and demonstrate the achievement of the level of attainment necessary for the award of a qualification. Examples of activities that can contribute to Total Qualification Time include: guided learning, independent and unsupervised research/learning, unsupervised compilation of a portfolio of work experience, unsupervisede-learning, unsupervised e-assessment, unsupervised coursework, watching a prerecorded podcast or webinar, unsupervised work based learning.

Guided Learning Hours (GLH): are defined as the time when a tutor is present to give specific guidance towards the learning aim being studied on a programme. This definition includes lectures, tutorials, and supervised study in, for example, open learning centres and learning workshops, live webinars, telephone tutorials or other forms of e-learning supervised by a tutor in real time. Guided learning includes any supervised assessment activity; this includes invigilated examination and observed assessment and observed work based practice.
